Both visually mesmerizing and full of heart, The Hobbit was a spectacular start for the upcoming prequel trilogy by Peter Jackson. The film featured breathtaking views, a captivating score and delightful characters with unique senses of style. Portrayed by James Nesbitt, Bofur was no exception. His most notable features include the large mustache that curls out on each end and an outlandish hat that is already being produced for future purchase.
Bofur’s hat is simply awesome. It is clearly an extension of his personality. According to the character description released by the studio:
“Endearing and likable, Bofur has a disastrous tendency to state the obvious and blurt out things without thinking. With a love of music and a fine singing voice, Bofur delights in good food and good company and is unfailingly optimistic. Though not especially brave, he will do his best to help those in need, especially those he counts as friends. Along with his brother Bombur and his cousin Bifur, Bofur joined the Quest for the Lonely Mountain partly to seek his fortune – and partly because he was told the beer was free.” (Source)
There you have it! He is a whimsical man, and therefore, deserves to have a whimsical hat.

Oh yes the hat is great.
But I do have a huge problem with him … I’m in love with Bofur.
He is so extraordinary cute, I love the way he laughs and the way he can be serious and even sad. This laughter lines.
God damned, PJ, what have you done? One just can’t be in love with a DWARF … I mean, short, bearded, miners …
Must be James Nesbit … he’s now my new Posterboy *___*
Bofur is the Dwarf you could build a life with. He’s cheerful, gentle and funny and oh so tender. One look into his big brown eyes and you are just lost. You will never be able to spend a day away from his sweet brogue and infectious laugh. And you just know he will make sweet sweet love to you and hold you in his heart until the end of time.
